There is no Easy and Safe way to offer the reward of bait buckets to your fishers in your area. There will always be someone that comes along and tries to manipulate your area gadgets to give them bait that they did not earn.
Weekly contests are becoming more popular since they are an excellent way for fishers to use their online time (either AFK or attended time) to try to win money for bait.
The DreamTime Designs Bait Server solves the ability to reward your devoted fishers with bait without worrying that someone will be able to come along and send a few fake messages to empty your bait rewarding equipment.
They have to trade you time in your fishing area in exchange for bait. The amount of time is dependent on how lucky they are at fishing. The DreamTime Designs Bait Server is a multi part system. It consists of a CPG(Custom Prize Giver) that I rez at your fishing area that has 16 Salvage Items and 4 Blueprints. The blueprints are a multi tier set. The Blueprints are also in communication with an external database outside of SecondLife.
This is not a normal thing built into blueprints. It is my own database that I maintain for security checks in my products.
Due to the griefer that was causing problems for 7Seas own Gear vendors and bait issues i wanted to make sure you had the ability to give out bait as a reward for fishing safely. 1 Check was not good enough for me.
I wanted to build you a double redundancy system. I call it the Honor Check and the Honesty Check. Each one is a separate check to ensure you have legitimately crafted all blueprints that are needed. 4 Blue prints total need to be completed for you to be eligible to receive bait from the bait server. It will take you the better part of a day to get all the parts needed however most of them can be caught without bait being used.
One Check is an entry recorded in the In-World Sever each time you complete a blueprint. Kinda like blueprint 1.)Check 2.)Check 3.)NULL 4.)Check in this case you would fail the security check because you had not completed the 3rd blueprint in the series. The External database also has a similar set of checks. Both have to match before bait is given.

How is the bait level maintained?
Glad you asked. This kit includes a Server that is rezzed by you that has modify permissions. You just have to rez the server and load some bait buckets into it and it does the rest. Hover text above it displays how many buckets of worms are remaining for a bait level check at a quick glance.
This system is perfect for areas that are trying to have fishing traffic. If someone has the choice of fishing at a weekly contest that just pays them or fishing at a weekly contest that pays then and helps keep their bait levels up which do you think will attract more fishers?
In Testing it takes about 12-18 hrs of fishing to catch all the pieces needed to complete the blueprints to get a bait bucket. Buying your bait in bulk at 24L per bucket means about 2L per hour of traffic per avatar. Granted most will combine this with a weekly contest running so your fishers will be paid more but this is just one more extra little incentive to make your fishing area stand out from all the rest.
Sounds great but what's it gonna cost?
You know if i hid the price way down here that it isn't cheap. It was a lot of work to create a safe system like this. It also has monthly costs associated with it for me just to maintain the database. Now granted my databases are also used for other things so i was paying for them anyways but still this system is not an overhead free system.

This is the Sever that is a single prim small server that you rez next to your contest board and load with bait buckets. You can use Standard 100 piece buckets or if you are very generous to your fishers you can load it with bulk bait buckets. You can even load it with a mixture of both so your fishers will sometimes get a standard bucket and sometimes get a bulk bucket.
Database maintenance is included. Once a week I back up all my databases and flush their logs to keep them running in tip top shape.
And last but not least, you get my assistance with setup and operation. Most people that know me in the 7seas fishing community know me for my helpful ways. You will be using one of my products. I want that to be as easy for you as possible.
